America’s Billboard Says “CL’s Nude Scene, with More Class than Miley Cyrus”

“Sad and naked with more class than Miley Cyrus’s nude scene!”

America’s Billboard spotlighted CL’s nude performance for the music video of 2NE1’s new single “MISSING YOU”. In an article titled “2NE1 Gets Sentimental, CL Gets Naked in ‘Missing You”, published on the 20 this month (local time), Billboard praised CL’s naked performance as such.

Billboard begins the article by saying, “2NE1 has caught the attention of both the East and West with forward-thinking music, fierce fashion and carefree attitudes.”, and focuses on CL’s transformation, stating, “The music video also shows a softer different side for the group — particularly leader CL.”.

Then, it goes on to say, “The video’s talking point is undoubtedly when CL goes nude for a daring naked scene during the second chorus”, then “Look out for haters to call out the comparisons from Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” but CL does sad and naked with way more class.”

Miley Cyrus, who is very popular as so-called “every American’s younger sister”, created sensation by presenting a naked performance in the music video of “Wrecking Ball” released in August this year. Billboard has given higher scores for CL’s nude scene than to Miley Cyrus’s, highly praising CL.

While the music video of “MISSING YOU” is drawing global attention with the music and images that express 2NE1’s musical and emotional transformation, as well as CL’s naked performance, the number of views of the video on YouTube recorded 2,280,000 as of the morning on the 22, proving such sensation.

In addition, Korean top stars are drawing attention by openly supporting “MISSING YOU”, which is sweeping the top places in the charts of 9 music-streaming websites including Melon, Mnet, Bugs, Olleh, and Soribada for two days in a row. On her Twitter, Lee Hyolee said, “Dara, your new song is so nice. Good luck”, cheering DARA, one of 2NE1’s members. Miss Korea-turned-actress Lee Honey also supported 2NE1 on the same day, by posting the link of the music video on her Twitter, saying “2NE1 Amazing!”

Meanwhile, 2NE1 is now staying in Hong Kong to attend MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards), which is held in the country on the 22, and announced their world tour from next March in Seoul, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Japan, in a press conference for reporters from media outlets of China and Hong Kong. Local media outlets proved 2NE1’s high popularity, reporting every move of 2NE1.

2NE1 will come back to Korea on the 23.
