2NE1's Concert Spring/Summer Schedule, Sorting Fact from Fiction

It seems like things are really gearing up for 2ne1, they are expected to headline at least two and possibly more concerts in the upcoming months. However, it seems there is some misinformation floating out there. We wanted to clear up the confirmed information from the tentative and still pending events.

2NE1 CONFIRMED: Angel Price Music Festival

On April 17, 2011; 2NE1 along with MBLAQ will perform for the Third Act from 4:30PM to 5:30PM KST of the 5-Part Angel Price Music Festival. The Festival is hosted by Coupang, "a commerce site, that features exclusive deals on what the best of korea has to offer." Concert attendess will get even steeper discounts on various items.

Artists: IU & ZE:A (1st Act); SNSD & Popping Hyun Joon (2nd Act); 2NE1 & MBLAQ (3rd Act); Big Bang & Gavy NJ (3rd Act); DBSK & Nine Muses (3rd Act)

2NE1 IS NOT CONFIRMED TO APPEAR AT THE DREAM CONCERT 

Several sites have reported that on May 28, 2011, 2ne1 as well as many other top kpop artists will perform at the Dream Concert 2011. Those reports cannot be confirmed. Yes, oilibankcard.com has confirmed the date, but nowhere on their site do they have ANY artist list and the @dreamconcert11 twitter no longer exists. We do not believe that the Dream Concert artist list spreading around now is official. For the following reasons we believe this information is wrong/unconfirmed:

• The Dream Concert official website, http://dreamconcert.kr/news.html?pg=1 has not been updated to reflect either a confirmed date or artist line-up.
• There has been no Nate/Naver articles reporting the artist list.
• The official Dream Concert on various kpop sites that a tentative Dream Concert
• The report relies on a purported official twitter account "@dreamconcert11" which no longer exists.
• Gmarket, the official ticket supplier has not posted any notices, reports, or ticket information.

If and when the concert organizers or YGE makes an official announcement we will let you know. Until then, please consider current reports of 2ne1's attendance with a grain of salt.

2NE1 CONFIRMED: Singapore's Korean Music Wave 2011 Concert

On July 15, 2011 ; 2NE1 along with Bigbang will the headlining artists for the Korean Music Wave 2011 Concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium (12k capacity). 

In fact, the Concert has already made it onto the Stadium's official website HERE. Proof Label, the organizers of last year's successful Korean Pop Night, have gone all out for this year's event as its in a much bigger venue and getting major publicity. Tickets are not yet available but will be sold through SISTIC.

Due to the rampant rumors of 2ne1's appearance at various event, one of our Singaporean staff contacted the official promoters directly. They have confirmed that 2ne1 will attend the event.

2NE1 UNCONFIRMED: The Party Concert in Manila

On June 4, 2011 ; 2NE1 is expected to perform in the Philippines for the first time at the Arenata Coliseum The Concert has not yet been posted on the Areneta Coliseum event list and there have been no confirmation directly from YGE, however our understanding is that tickets will be avaible for pre-order, if they are not already. We do know that the seating chart that was floating around is false there is not yet an official seating chart. Pulp the concert organizers will be releasing additional information soon.

Edit: We believe the promoters are in ongoing discussions with YGE, however the June 4th date is still too tentative for our comfort level.

2NE1 UNCONFIRMED: Malaysia Fan Meeting

Redstar reports that they are planning a fan meeting 2ne1 & Bigbang in Malaysia. However, the date remains tentative. In fact, the current date directly conflicts with the current date for 2ne1's Manila concert. There has been some delay in updates for this fanmeeting (there was a major family crisis with the promoter). The date was always tentative so it would be best if you did not make any travel plans yet.
