Earlier this year, 2NE1 fans had donated a forest of mango trees to a village in South Sudan, Africa and tvN went to go see how it was doing.
Blackjacks from all around the world donated 1,210 mango trees to the village of Tonj through Tree Planet Korea's 'Star Forest Project'.
The mango tree doesn't provide just food - it also provides cool shade
for everyone in the heat of the African summer. The villagers were so
thankful for 2NE1 and their fans that they were all holding up signs
that read 'Thank you 2NE1'.
tvN also went to see the Shinhwa forest,
as Shinhwa are currently the first and only group to have 2 forests
dedicated to them! Both Shinhwa forests are huge, and of course the
forest isn't just a place for people to rest - it's another place for
wildlife to call home.
What do you think about this new way of giving to your idols?
