TV Korea recently made a documentary on how K-pop is taking effect on it's neighboring country, Japan.
This documentary was posted on the 10th of February on TV Korea's official Youtube Channel, tvkorea2010 explains how influential K-pop is to the Japanese.
NHK, a local Japanese TV Station made a show dedicated for K-pop fans. Matsuura Masahiko, NHK producer explained, "We realized there were many K-pop fans all over Japan. That's why we're introducing them through this show."
When Japanese people were asked if they know K-pop, they said "Yes" and even gave sample of artists such as TVXQ, T-ARA, 2NE1, Big Bang, After School and many more.
In Shinjuku in Japan, there's a club there named "DJ Hyuk's K-pop Club" where they played non-stop K-pop songs and attracts over 400 people over the weekends.
Furuya Masayuki, a Pop Culture Critic said, "Young Japanese people don't have a bias against Korea. They can just accept Korea as it is, thanks to K-pop. That's largely in part due to the development of Korean entertainment industry."
