Showing up on Mnet Asian Music Award (MAMA) last year with ‘I Don’t Care‘, they received the song award and the new rookie award. However this year they received the award that all the idol groups dreamt of being even nominated for, the Best Artist Award. In addition, they’ve received 5 other awards at the same award night.
Being able to grow so much within such short time is a challenge to many idol groups, but in 2NE1′s case they’ve already been set apart with the title as ‘Best Artist’ and they’re success is drawing many people’s attention.
On December 4th and 5th at the Seoul Olympic Park Stadium, the ‘YG Family Concert‘ was held. At the concert 2NE1 opened their performance with ‘FIRE‘, putting the atmosphere ‘on fire’. Actually this recent concert does seem like 2NE1′s official 1st concert, but they makes fans and viewers neglect the fact that it is their first by their flexibility and fancy stage along with their powerful charisma bringing more 36,000 people to the concert just for them.
In 2009 when they released the digital single album ‘Lollipop‘, at the time they were referred to as the ‘female Big Bang‘. But they’ve grown so that they are on stage with Big Bang leading the YG Entertainment as one of the ‘bigger’ artists known in Korea.
2NE1 is officially the girl ground with powerful and abstract appearance. They have the power to even attract female fans with their charisma. They released their official 1st album, the first group to make a ‘triple-title song’ promotion,their album was a big success. We could say that they’ve embedded their names into people’s hearts. 2NE1 the currently the ‘Best Artist‘, I wonder what they’ll look like next?
