Minzy's dad comments on her leave from 2NE1?

Minzy's father has reportedly commented on her leave from the YG Entertainment group.

As Blackjacks know by now, YGE announced that Minzy is officially leaving both 2NE1 and the agency. There are now reports that her dad has spoken up about the issue on Instagram. On April 6, he posted a song and video of his daughter with the message: "Her passion is still overflowing."
Minzy's dad added a number of hashtags and, "If you're going to act like this with the media play, then I'm going to hold a press conference for the truth. I tried to leave it as a beautiful separation..."

 

Netizens and fans are alleging that his words are directed towards YG Entertainment and possibly CEO Yang Hyun Suk. If this is true, it wouldn't be a stretch that he was suggesting Minzy's leave from 2NE1 and YGE wasn't very amicable.

2NE1 members were unaware of Minzy's departure from the team?

CL, Park Bom, and Dara are just as shocked as the rest of us at the news of Minzy's departure from 2NE1 and YG Entertainment. 

On April 5, YG officially announced that Minzy is parting ways with 2NE1 and its label. The news brought great shock to many fans, and it turns out that other 2NE1 members were also unaware of the news until the official announcement. 

According to a "YG associate", "Minzy did not discuss the issue regarding her departure from the team with rest of the members. The unexpected news brought great shock to the three." 

It is true that the girls struggled to stay strong over the years with various controversies, but the members had the great desire to remain together. However, things ultimately did not work out, and 2NE1 is now a team of 3. 

Regardless, we again wish both Minzy and 2NE1 best of luck!

Minzy’s last pictorial emerges following news of her leave from 2NE1

Minzy’s latest pictorial for W Korea resurfaces following news of her leave from 2NE1.

On March 5th, fans were bombarded with reports that Minzy will be leaving YG Entertainment and left 2NE1 to continue with three members. However, as the news emerged, photos from her latest pictorial with W Korea emerged once more.

The photos were first released six weeks ago by W Korea through Minzy’s personal Instagram account and featured the singer in a monochromatic theme. The poses portrayed through the shoot also highlighted Minzy’s flexible and sensual dance routines.

Meanwhile, YG Entertainment has confirmed that Minzy will be leaving 2NE1 permanently after failing to secure a renewal from the singer.

Dara reveals having many suitors

Asian superstar Sandara Park did not bat an eyelash when asked about her love life.

In an exclusive interview with Push after her press conference for local clothing brand Penshoppe, Sandara admitted that she does have a number of suitors.

“Pero hindi pa ako sumagot kasi siguro feeling ko gusto ko munang mag-work and concentrate muna, (I can't say yes, because I need to work and concentrate first.)” she explained.

It seems though that the Pambansang Krung Krung is not closing her doors on love. 

“I can’t promise na hindi ako magkaka-love life kasi if one day nandiyan ‘yung prince charming ko, hindi ko alam kung ano ang gagawin ko,”(I can't promise that I won't fall in love, because if one day, my prince charming will show up, I don't know what to do.) she said. “Baka sabihin ko sa Instagram ‘Uy may boyfriend ako!’ Hindi ko rin alam. (I might reveal it on Instagram saying "I have a boyfriend! I really don't know.)”

Last year, Sandara was rumored to be dating My Love From The Star actor Kim Soo-hyun after they were reportedly spotted having dinner together.

While she remains to be single, Sandara is very close to a number of boys under her management label YG Entertainment. Just last year, Sandara’s closeness with them made headlines after she posted photos of her with boy group iKON and rap trio Epik High.

“Nakakatuwa kasi ako ‘yung Ate pero feeling nila sila ang Kuya,” (It's so funny because I am older than them (noona), but they felt that they are older than me (oppa) shared the 31-year-old star.

She continued, “So parang nakakatawa  ‘yung mga relationship ko with the boys. Ngayon nakakalungkot kasi sobrang busy sila. Meron silang tour all over the world so parang hindi kami nagkikita. (It seems that we have a fun relationship. It's so sad that they have been so busy lately. They have a tour all over the world so we just rarely see each other.)”

However, Sandara admitted that they do get in touch even if they are miles apart.

“Yes naman. Kapag may birthday, happy birthday ganyan, (We keep in touch specially if it's a birthday, we greet each other.)” she said.

After her official events with the clothing brand, Sandara spent some down time in Tagaytay and a theme park in Laguna.

Dara left the country on Monday evening and even took her message to her fans on her Instagram account.

Minzy leaves 2NE1, Pinoy fans react

Filipino fans of 2NE1 were dismayed to learn that Minzy, one of the four members of the group, has decided to leave after declining to renew her contract with record label YG Entertainment. 

On Monday, YG Entertainment released a statement confirming Minzy's departure. The singer was rumored to have been in talks with other music labels in South Korea.

"Last January, we had individual face-to-face talks with each member regarding renewing their contracts and showed our desire for the group to reform. Unfortunately, Gong Minzy did not feel the same," the statement read.

"Having to say goodbye to a colleague who has been with us since she was a trainee for 11 years is really difficult. However, we fully understand and respect Gong Minzy's position as the group had to suddenly halt promotions two years ago. Thus, it is true that we feel more sorry rather than feeling unsatisfied," it added.

YG Entertainment, however, said that the group, whose remaining members include former Pinoy actress Sandara Park, CL, and Park Bom, will continue as a trio.

"YG and the members promise to make a strong resolution for fans who have trusted 2NE1's music and waited. We will promise to return with the most 2NE1-style and 2NE1-appropriate music," the label said.

As the news broke, Minzy's name immediately became one of the top trending topics on Twitter in the Philippines. The phrase "In 2NE1 We Trust" was also one of the most talked about topics among Pinoys on the micro-blogging service.

2NE1, formed in 2009, last released an album back in 2014. The group held a concert in the Philippines in the same year as part of their "All or Nothing" world tour.

2NE1 last performed together at the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards in Hong Kong.

Bom joins Dara in Manila

Park Bom has joined Dara in Manila for vacation.

The two were spotted by fans at Enchanted Kingdom in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on April 3 and the news quickly spread on social networking sites.

Filipino fan Jas tweeted she was surprised when she saw Bom with Dara.

“I turned my head and saw Park Bom looking at me!!! I was so shocked that I screamed her name ‘PARK BOM!!!!’ She smiled and waved at me…”

She added, “People were looking at me when I was fangirling for my life, like screaming, jumping, stomping, crying. But I don’t care. I miss my queens.”

“Bom is so pretty in person. Those photos online, hd or not, are no match when you see her in real life. Dara was waving shyly, and keeps her head down.”

Twitter user AG De Guzman also saw them at Enchanted Kingdom and posted a video of them with Dara getting tickets for a ride.

Bom apparently arrived in the Philippines on April 1, according to fan Len who was able to get her autograph at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and posted a video of it on Twitter.

“Thank you Bom! Enjoy your stay here in the PH!” the fan tweeted.

On her Instagram, Dara posted photos of herself in Tagaytay after wrapping up her Penshoppe Meet and Greet event last April 2.

Minzy rumored to be looking for a new agency as contract with YG nears its end

An alarming report by Korean media portal TV Daily has Blackjack nervous with the news that 2NE1 member Minzy is allegedly looking for a new agency.

A music insider told TV Daily in an exclusive that the exclusive contract for the members of 2NE1 are coming to an end soon with member Minzy already in contact with other agencies waiting to scoop her up.

They were quoted saying, “2NE1’s contract is expiring soon and there is a high possibility they will disband. Gong Minzy is already in contact with other agencies and is ready to move on. I’ve heard that Gong Minzy has already begun negotiating a contract with an agency. But it didn’t work out because the amount Gong Minzy asked for was too much.”

However, it is also a possibility that Minzy is only going around different agencies to see what her worth is, an act that is practiced with celebrities whose contracts are about to expire with their current agencies, thus doesn’t necessarily mean that they won’t renew.

Meanwhile, CL is the only member to have renewed a contract with YG Entertainment, albeit only for her solo activities and not as a member of 2NE1.

2NE1 last released an album in 2014 titled CRUSH but unfortunately were forced into hiatus in June that same year after Park Bom became embroiled in a scandal. With the members of 2NE1 going their own path of activities from that moment on, Blackjacks were delighted when the group surprisingly came on stage together after nearly two years at the 2015 MAMA, raising hope of a group comeback.

Minzy to officially leave 2NE1 + YGE announces 2NE1 comeback

YG Entertainment has announced Minzy's official leave from 2NE1.

Unfortunately for Blackjack, the rumors are true. YGE made an official announcement that Minzy is leaving the group on April 5, stating, "We are sorry to inform the many 2NE1 fans who've waited so long. We are making an official announcement that 2NE1's maknae Minzy will no longer be a part of 2NE1."

The agency detailed, "With the end of 2NE1's contract with YG coming up on May 5, 2016, we met with the 2NE1 members this past January to discuss their intentions about re-signing. However, Minzy expressed her intentions that were different from the group." 

YG Entertainment also let fans know that they can expect a 2NE1 comeback this summer with the remaining members CL, Park Bom, and Dara. The label stated, "The remaining three members have re-signed, and they're preparing for a new song release for this summer as 2NE1. We are not looking for an additional member to replace Minzy."
