Minzy turns into a golden lady in a BTS cut for ‘Marie Claire’!

Minzy is shining… literally. 

The 2NE1 members recently dominated fashion magazines with each member posing for a different magazine and YG Entertainment unveiled a BTS cut of Minzy at the photo shoot for her solo pictorial.

YG Entertainment shared the above photo on their me2day with the caption, “We gained confidence through the enormous amount of encouraging comments and released a bunch of 2NE1 pictorials. We unveiled another BTS cut of Minzy! Even though it was taken quickly by phone, it looks like a pictorial cut! Her pose is like that of a professional model! The maknae who is full of many charms Minzy!” Minzy is looking quite chic in the photo with her golden dress and over-sized sunglasses.

Blackjacks loved the look and replied, “She normally looks like a kid but her pose in the pictorial is mature”, “Minzy has the perfect V-line face”, and “Her dress catches my eyes.”

CL celebrates her birthday with 2NE1 members, G-Dragon, Seungri, and more!

As it’s officially February 26 in Korea, CL is celebrating her birthday today, and the family that makes up YG Entertainment wants everyone to know! While the above picture was uploaded by YG Entertainment’s official Twitter along with the caption, “Happy Birthday #CL #HAPPYCLDAY,” the birthday girl soon followed suit with an Instagram version of the same picture.

Others who joined in the 2NE1 leader’s happiness include maknae Minzy. The first to tweet about CL’s party, she uploaded the following picture of her outfit and announced, “Cherin’s [CL's real name] birthday party go go!”

Next was Dara, who revealed that she took a great part in setting up the party, saying: “I’m the party planner.”

“Amazing! Cake baking success! ^_^v It’s super awesome, right?”

And, “It’s not that the picture came out bad~ [but that] we did it on purpose ke. Wah-goo wah-goo~ currently eating [something] delicious ^_^”

G-Dragon was next to offer his congratulations, sharing a snapshot of himself and CL chilling at the party on Instagram with the caption, “Happy birthday to @chaelin_cl Bless you.”

He later updated his Twitter with yet another picture, having found someone else to befriend at the party–none other than, “Doobi doobap, Sponge Bob, shoobi doobapba.”

Seungri, also took a selca with the birthday girl and took to Twitter with his usual, enthusiastic use of exclamation points: “2ne1 leader CL!!! Happy birthday!!!”

Last but not least, Park Bom tweeted a simple yet sweet, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o))) Cherin~~~~~.”

It seems like the star has enjoyed a fun birthday with her close friends at YG Entertainment! Make sure to tweet her your congratulations before the day ends!

Dara makes a surprise visit to Gummy's fan meeting!

Sandara Park showed her support for labelmate Gummy by paying a visit to her 10th anniversary fan meeting.

On February 20, Gummy uploaded a photo via YG Entertainment’s official me2day account and wrote, “Sandara made a surprise visit to my 10 anniversary fan meeting! I was so surprised, and I ended up crying. Thank you so much Sandara and I love you, YG family.”

In the photo, Sandara and Gummy shared the YG family love by making friendly pose together in a greenroom. Both of them also showed great looks with their own unique styles.

Check out CL’s intense photoshoot with ‘Harper’s BAZAAR’!

CL went for her usual fierce look for ‘Harper’s BAZAAR‘.

As it reported before, all the 2NE1 members had a solo photoshoot for the March issues of four different magazines. Dara and Bom‘s pictorials and BTS photos were released online, and now the photos for CL have been released!

YG Entertainment released the photos themselves via their SNS accounts. CL sports intense makeup and accessories in the photos, but she proves once again that no one can quite pull off the intense fierce look quite like she can.

Dara wants a cotton candy kiss?

It looks like Dara has been watching SBS’ ‘Wind Blows In Winter’ during her free time.  She expressed her jealousy of the on-screen romance between Jo In Sung and Song Hye Gyo.

Dara tweeted, “Cotton candy, you can buy two, but they chose to share one instead. Looks delicious. I want cotton candy too,” along with screenshots of the sweet kiss scene which is sure to go into the K-pop drama hall of fame alongside the “candy kiss” in ‘IRIS’ and the “foam kiss” in ‘Secret Garden’.

She later added, “Oh Dara cotton candy kiss….. not. It’s cotton candy swallowing. The background music is ‘Snow Flower’,” with the selca above.

Park Bom’s goals for 2013 include finding a boyfriend and revealing her waistline?

It looks like Blackjacks might have to prepare themselves, because Bom stated that one of her goals in 2013 is to get a boyfriend.

Bom recently took on a girly, feminine image for ‘Allure‘. Usually she never leaves her home without intense eyeliner, but for her first solo photoshoot, she wiped off her eyeliner for a more softer look instead.

Besides the pictorial, she participated in an interview and when asked for her goals for the new year, Park Bom stated, “I definitely want to date and also reveal my waist line that I previously promised to fans.” Even though Bom always showed off her long legs through miniskirts, the singer has shied away by keeping her waist firmly hidden. But she’d made a promise with her fans before, and it appears she’ll finally keep that promise this year! As for getting a boyfriend in 2013, we’ll have to wait and see which lucky guy she ends up with.

CL hints at a 2NE1 comeback + solo album in 2013!

Good news for BlackJacks as it appears 2NE1 is coming back soon.

According to a recent interview with Billboard, leader CL revealed that the girls were preparing for a comeback aimed in April. However, she also admitted that they hadn’t really decided on the title song or the concept yet. She also revealed that she was preparing for a solo album that would come after 2NE1 was done promoting.

CL also added that for the solo album, she wanted to do a lot of things she couldn’t do as the group 2NE1.

As to what 2NE1′s title track will be like? She gave a little hint saying as opposed to “I Love You“, it would carry on the more traditional 2NE1 sound such as the songs “I Am The Best” and “Can’t Nobody“. Everyone is looking forward to what they’ll bring onto the scene this time around, and 2NE1 has never disappointed fans in terms of fierceness and power.

The ladies have also been out from the music scene for a very long time, so fans are especially looking forward to their comeback. Hopefully, 2NE1 won’t be delaying their comeback any longer!

Dara behind the scenes for ‘Elle’ photo shoot!

Behind-the-scenes footage of Dara‘s latest photo shoot for Elle magazine has been released!

Darar got attention for the 100 carat bling she wore for the pictorial, and now, BTS footage of the shoot has been released to give fans a look at Dara on set.

During the interview, Dara introduced herself as the 2NE1 member in charge of “pure and innocent” charms. She also mentioned that it was new and exciting for her to experience a photo shoot without her members.

2NE1 and Gummy to come together for a free charity concert!

2NE1 and Gummy will be coming together for a concert, and it’ll be one fans won’t want to miss out on for it’s also free!

The two will be coming together to help the youth in the Tae-An area in Korea. The free concert has been running since 2008 and is put on yearly by company Silk Road C&T. 2NE1 is no stranger to the event, having participated in the one in Vietnam to an incredible response. All the proceeds from this year’s concert will be donated to the youth who suffered from the oil spill near Tae-An in 2007.

Even though Gummy and 2NE1 are both busy with album preparations and personal promotions, the pair decided to perform at the concert to help the youth in need. The concert will take place at the Sejong Culture Hall Theater on the 23rd at 5PM KST.

Winners from the ’2nd Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards’!

On February 13th, Gaon Chart held its second annual ‘Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards‘ at the Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park.

The ‘Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards’ is held by South Korea’s national music record chart, Gaon Chart. The organization’s awards stand out by recognizing songs, albums, and artists as well as stylists, choreographers, producers, composers, and other professionals in the music industry. Award winners are determined according to the previous year’s Gaon year-end chart of sales.

This year, the show was hosted by Brown Eyed Girls‘ Ga In and Joo Young Hoon.
