2NE1 establishes a strong debut in Japan!

2NE1 has made a strong debut in Japan!

On September 21st, 2NE1 kicked off their official debut by releasing their mini-album, ‘NOLZA‘. This album contains Japanese remakes of tracks found in 2NE1′s 2nd Korean mini-album, excluding Park Bom‘s “Don’t Cry“.

On the day of its release, 2NE1 scored high points on various music charts, and landed in 2nd place on the Japanese iTunes chart and 4th place on the Oricon charts.

In addition, the girls performed to a formidable audience of over 10,000 for their September 19th and 20th concerts. The local press even praised their success, saying, “During 2NE1′s debut commemoration tour, more than 70,000 people will gather. This is the highest record [for a debut tour] ever.”

Pushing forward with their unique fashion style and music, 2NE1 will continue on with their Japanese tour in Kobe and Osaka.

Vocal trainers rank the idols with the best vocal talent!

For the first time ever, the number of idol groups promoting in the market will hit 100 by the end of the year. Their popularity is often determined by their fans, but what do the professionals in the industry think of them?

E-Daily recently brought together 30 vocal trainers, 27 choreographers, and 18 plastic surgeons to rank the idols according to vocal talent, dancing, and looks.  Check out who they ranked as the top in terms of vocal talent below!

Big Bang and JYJ tied at third with four votes each. Commenting on Big Bang, trainers stated, “They’re a very unique team that can take any song and express it in their own style.“  As for JYJ,  ”The members each have exceptional talent.” 

In the female group category, ballad duo Davichi earned a total of 8 votes. Vocal trainer Ham Yoo Sung stated, “They work well with each other and harmonize beautifully.  The level of their expression is above the rest.” Director Cho Hong Kyung added, “Davichi shows so many things through just their music alone.  Together, they harmonize wonderfully and fit well with ballads.” 

2NE1 and SISTAR tied at second with seven votes each.

2NE1 releases debut Japanese mini-album, “NOLZA”!

Girl group 2NE1 has finally released their debut mini-album, “Nolza“! The girls were originally scheduled to launch their debut back in March, but were forced to postpone it due to the Tohoku Earthquake that struck Japan that month.

Comprised of 5 tracks, the girls revamped their second Korean mini-album for Japanese audiences. They also brought back the artwork of graphic designer Mari Kim, who designed the cover, jackets, and a MV for the girls earlier this year.

Sandara Park is feeling depressed because…?

On September 20th, Sandara Park expressed her disappointment in missing the last episode of ‘2NE1 tv‘.

Writing through her me2day account, Sandara said, “Today is the 2nd day of our Japanese concert. It’s a busy time for us. But… today’s episode of ’2NE1 TV’ will be the last. And… I won’t be able to watch it live today, nor its playbacks. Can you guys cheer me up?  I think I’ll do good at the concert if you do.”

Sandara attached a cute photo to further express feelings, and fans gushed over the lovely star and her adorable doodles on the photo. It seems like Time is always on her mind, as Dara reprimanded herself by adding a graphic that said, “Pay attention!”

Netizens left encouraging messages, saying, “Come back after your successful tour!” and “It’s a shame that it’s the last episode. I’m too addicted!”

In related news, 2NE1 held their first debut concert in Japan on the 20th for their live series in Kobe, Osaka, and Yokohama.

2NE1 reveals Japanese MV preview for “Lonely”!

Back in May, 2NE1 unleashed their gorgeous ballad “Lonely” and grabbed an exciting ‘perfect all-kill’ for the song.

Two weeks ago, the girls shared a preview of the Japanese version of song along with a photo teaser for the MV; now the short preview for the Japanese version of “Lonely” has been revealed.

Sandara Park reveals she’s a shopaholic!

On September 17th, 2NE1‘s Sandara Park shared a photo of herself from her huge shopping adventure.

“Once again, I couldn’t stop myself!”, she wrote. “The next time my urge to go shopping strikes, someone please step in before I turn my wallet upside down! What’s done is done. I went all in! Good night!”

Sandara revealed her mania for sportswear brand, Adidas, as she’s seen wearing their orange jumpsuit while holding two shopping bags filled to the brim with her items. She looks pretty triumphant about her conquests, and even put laughing captions all over her photo.

2NE1‘s dance machine, Gong Minzy, took a decorated picture with her biological sister.

On September 11th, Minzy tweeted, “Spending time with family is the best. Taking a picture with my biological sister. She really doesn’t look like me,” along with the picture above.

In the picture, Minzy and her sister are posing intimately. Gong Minzy is wearing shades while looking surprised, and her sister is doing the signature peace sign pose.

On September 11th, 2NE1‘s Dara uploaded a surprise spoiler for Blackjacks on her Me2day!

Dara shared a picture of herself surrounded by black umbrellas in the rain. She wrote, “Chuseok special spoiler! Bbabam! Japanese Blackjacks, look here! +.+ This is the birth of the most beautiful and loneliest music video out of all 2NE1 music videos!! Bbabam!”

Dara keeps fans laughing during Chuseok Holidays!

The well-known Sandara Park (of 2NE1) is hard at work as “head of public relations” throughout even the Chuseok holidays.

Yesterday Dara updated her me2day with an interesting story of her driving around by herself and how she ended up getting lost!

As told by Dara, here is how the story went, “I decided to visit Cheongfam Dong Shop for a head message, to give my head a much needed break from all these crazy hairstyles I’ve been wearing lately. I’m familiar with the area, so I chose to casually drive there on my own. I’m confident I know the way by heart…the shop is in front of Seung Su Bridge…or Yung Dong Bridge…When I finally looked around, I had driven across Yung Dong Bridge! In a panic, I quickly called Changme (a nickname for 2NE1’s manager). She then directed me to make a U-turn as soon as I could…But where could I make a U-turn?  I failed to find a place where I was able to turn around; I continued to drive until I had reached the Lotte World and even further still to the Garak Market. Uh oh! Eventually, somehow, I was able to make it to the shop safe and sound, but what a long detour I took.  I feel my whole body might need a break instead of just my head after all of this.”

Dara continues to make fans laugh with her stories even during the holidays.

Sandara had been appointed “head of public relations” by 2NE1’s agency, YG Entertainment, for her diligent communication with her fans and spreading knowledge of 2NE1 to those who may not be familiar with the group.

2NE1's Park Bom vs. Kara's Han Seung Yeon: Who wore it Better?

Park Bom and Han Seung Yeon were found to have worn the same outfit, but portray a different feel to each other. 

 

Park Bom wore the dress to the Adidas Concert and also in 2NE1’s Adidas advertisement. On the other hand, Han Seung Yeon had worn the dress in Kara’s “Step” music video that was released earlier this week. 

Both Park Bom and Han Seung Yeon look stunning in their dresses, so it is hard to decide who wore it better than the other. Even though they have worn the same outfit, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the vibe they give off are the same or similar to one another. In this case, Park Bom shows a stylish, chic feel and Han Seung Yeon shows a sexy-cutie feel, which clearly oppose from one another.

Etude House kicks off 2nd ‘Pink Play’ concert with 2NE1, MBLAQ, and more!

On September 3rd, cosmetics brand Etude House opened up their second ‘Pink Play‘ concert at the SETEC!

Performing artists included 2NE1, MBLAQ, 8Eight, Mighty Mouth, and pianist Jin Bora, all of whom earned enthusiastic responses from the audience members.  The concert was held under the theme of “sweet stars and our pink light dreams”.

The concert kicked off with Jin Bora’s performance and a short story on her dreams and her passion for playing the piano.  MBLAQ followed up with their own performance and a special photo session with event winners.

8Eight and Mighty Mouth were up next, each singing four songs.  The climax of the concert was 2NE1′s performance of their hit tracks, as well as an encore of “Ugly“.  The girls expressed their excitement in seeing the fans again for the second time at this concert.

Etude House representatives stated, “The concert is a repayment of all of the love our customers have shown us.  This year, we focused on not only the music, but also the dreams of the stars.  We hope that it was a meaningful event for everyone.”
